  Tsu has to be the most original idea out there! Pronounced “Sue” launched on the 21st, Tsu is taking over Social Media as we know it. Social Media networks are using user content and putting advertisers money into their own pockets. Tsu allows users to reap the benefits of receiving 90% of their original content and they receive 10%.

Well these sponsored ads pay these social media sites for the work we are putting in. WELL! Tsu gives us 90% of this income and they keep 10%.

Picture it as they are paying for a marquee parking space on our social network, if the users did not facilitate the need for a social media site, they would not be paying for this space.

Another example you can monetize YouTube videos and get paid per click on each of your video. Tons of celebrities already do this on Twitter and Facebook, why can’t you?

You can gain more income from inviting others as well. The more interaction, the better.

Confused? I was too.. but as I’ve done my research I’ve gain more and more insight. My first reaction was, whats the catch? None once so ever as it seems. Also getting more into the program you will find that 50% of profits propagates in a series of infinite thirds up a ‘family tree’ of users that begin with the original content owner. The person who invited him is the parent, and they get a third. The person who invited that person is a ‘grandparent’ and received a third of that third. So it’s like one giant pay-it-forward platform.

This portrait may come as a huge surprise to the people who personally know me. As a makeup artist, I personally consider it is so crucial to have flawless skin; the truth is, that’s not always possible. I’ve made some severe decisions and my final step was Accutane (which can cause depression, seizures, and cracking of the skin.) I was willing to take those risks. With a ton of research and an angel with a wealth of information on products, I was truly saved.

1. Cut dairy, NOW!

a. Milk/Cheese/Coffee Creamers contains components related to the hormone testosterone that may stimulate oil glands in the skin, setting the stage for acne.
b. Try using the alternative. Non Dairy Creamers, Almond Milk, Silk Milk, etc. Trust me, this made all the difference in the world.

2. Drink like a fish.

a. Water that is… water removes all impurities and toxins in the body. It helps flush out lingering pollutants in the system and helps clear the face and body.

3. Eat Clean.

a. If it’s frozen, microwavable, or pre packaged. You may want to consider the alternative. Keep in mind, this is not for everyone, but I was desperate and willing to try anything.

4. My Main Savior For My Acne.

a. Rodan + Fields, if you have never heard of it, you need to get used to this name… I live, sleep and breathe this product. After only 3 weeks I saw major results.  Unblemish does exactly what the name says. It has now been 4 months and I’m not perfect but I see the forest through the trees. The product keeps working and working. I’ve been recommend this product to all of brides as well who want a clear complexion for the most important day of their lives.

The over played and over used saying every New Year is “New Year, New Me”. Its time to stop setting grand and unrealistic New Year resolutions. New Year resolutions are supposed to be goals that you can reach throughout the year to better yourself. By setting unrealistic New Year resolutions it makes it hard to even reach the resolutions and then you feel like you failed.

Its time to cut the crap and set New Year resolutions that will actually conquer this 2014! Lets have a positive and amazing 2014! Here are the top resolutions for 2014 to better yourself. The resolutions are realistic and can be met throughout the year.

1. Set an achievable goal. Instead of saying I am going to be skinny this New Year. Set a goal of losing five pounds or less every month.

2. Reach out to others. This generation seems to be lost and not very sociable because of technology. Try to make small goals of seeing family or friends you haven’t seen. And remember to put the phone away!

3. Do unto yourself as you would do unto others. Lets go back to kindergarten and set the Golden Rule. Try to stop the judging and hatred for no reason. Set small goals such as making a new friend a month or getting to know someone a month. Being nice will take you a long way!

4. Find ways to be happy. The number one thing in life is to be happy. Us people forget that and we end up feeling sad. Make small goals in towards making yourself happy. Whether its buying a piece of clothing every month, going on a trip or whatever the heck makes you happy, just do it every month.

5. Maybe forget resolutions and pick a theme. Sometimes it is hard for people to set resolutions. Instead of saying “My resolution is to lose 25 pounds”. Say “My theme for this year is to get fit and healthy.” This can allow you to eat better, exercise more, and get the body you want.

Thanksgiving… The one day in the year where it is socially acceptable to eat four pieces of pumpkin pie in one sitting. BUT since everyone is on a health and fitness kick, it’s probably better to eat one slice of pumpkin pie. Here are Ten Healthy Thanksgiving Tips for you to follow this upcoming Thursday!

  1. Get Active – The day of Thanksgiving morning before you start cooking, take a long walk. Walk with your family, friends, or love ( even though you should be working out at least three times a week).
  2. Eat Breakfast – You might be thinking you are saving calories, but experts say if you eat a small breakfast it will help you control what you eat later on.
  3. Lighten Up – whether you making a Thanksgiving feast or catering use foods with fewer calories, fat and sugars.
  4. Use fat-free chicken broth on the turkey and in the gravy.
  5. Reduce oil and butter where ever you can.
  6. Use plain yogurt in mashed potatoes.
  7. Police you Portions – look first and map out the Thanksgiving buffet. Get reasonable sized portions, instead of overflowing your plate.
  8. Skip Seconds!!!!!!
  9. Eat white meat instead of the dark meat.
  10. Left overs are MUCH better the next day! 😉

1. How long have you been seriously working out and how often do you hit the weights?

Honestly, My entire life, from what I can remember. Growing up I was always involved in something active like cheerleading/dance. I became seriously involved in working out in college when I began teaching group fitness classes.  Currently, I teach 10+ group classes a week where I am physically working out/participating in the classes so there is little time left for my personal workouts, but I do try to get at least 2-3 hours a week of my “own” workout (i.e. going for a run, taking a yoga class, or doing a total body free weight workout)

2. Carbs get a bad rap at times, what is your take on carbs and which types would you implement in your meal plan?  I love carbs. I am not the advocate to promote low carb diets. Carbs are our main source of fuel/energy and I need all I can get! Obviously there are “good” carbs, verses “bad,” and everything in moderation, but I will NEVER eliminate an important energy supplier, especially when it risks my performance in my cardio/strength workouts!!

3. What specifically do your daily meals consist of from breakfast to dinner?

Typically I eat small portions every 1-3 hours throughout the day and I always try to incorporate a protein into every portion.

My typical meal schedule looks like this:

– Breakfast: 2 eggs and/or oatmeal/fruit

– Snack: protein bar/shake (whey protein)

– Lunch (varies): salad with any protein, tuna sandwich on wheat, chicken/veggies, and chili

– Snack – fruit/yogurt/almonds

– Dinner – protein/veggie (sometimes brown rice, or a sweet potato)

Do you weigh your food or do you eye ball your portions? Eyeball, I normally eat small portions regardless.  Honestly, if I do go out to eat, I order from the kid’s meal a lot.

4. What are your future endeavors for your fitness company from a small scale to a large one?

My goals are to grow a fitness brand that represents all components of fitness/health/wellness in a safe, educated, and effective way.  I believe the industry as a whole is fading in the quality of the education and credentials of various fitness professionals with a considerable amount of false (and unsafe) information being promoted.  As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I value safety and efficiency in exercise programming as a means to prevent injury/disability.  I also consider the importance of lifestyle modifications to assist others in achieving a healthier quality of life.  My ultimate goal is to keep this industry up-to-date in sharing my personal experience and education to promote my passion to fitness/health/wellness as a lifestyle while preventing injury/disability as a whole.

5. Its natural to have cravings, how do you control them? What is your Achilles heel when it comes to food?

I control my cravings with replacement of a similar tasting foods/drinks that do not have the negative outcomes from the actual food I am craving (which is usually something sweet and delicious). For instance, if I have an ice cream craving, I will make a fruit smoothie! My absolute Achilles Heel is a bag of peanut m-n-m’s, really tough to resist them! I try to not make eye contact with them in the store!

6. Cardio vs. Weights. When is cardio/weights appropriate for someone trying to shed pounds and tone up?

Cardio and weights go hand and hand.  There is no one is better than the other. Its simple, both are important for loosing weight and toning up. The decision between cardio and weights shouldn’t be a decision at all. The real decision is what intensity you are performing both methods at. Real results come from the concept of SAID – Specific Adaptations of Imposed Demands, which means, the more we do something the more efficient we become at it, therefore, we need to work harder or more intense to actually see physical benefits from the activity.  It boils down to how challenged you are regardless of what method of exercise you choose.

7. What is your advice for ladies who want to burn off their baby weight?

Immediately start on a weekly-regulated workout regime (workout at least 4-6 times per week) when cleared to begin exercising and NEVER STOP! Keep consistency and commitment and you will see the pounds drop.  Patience and persistence is the key to healthy weight loss and in keeping it off!

In my experience working with a wide array of people, I recognize we all have a commonality in seeking a healthier and fit quality of life.  Regardless of how we “get it,” most of us are seeking it some way or another. As your special day approaches, the last thing you want to be doing is dieting. As a bride, you have so much to worry about, between your dress, the photographer, the cater, and so much more. I have found the most efficient and useful tips to losing weight before your wedding.

  • Do Not Crash Diet! People may advise you to go on a crash diet, but turn the other way. Crash diets are when you usually lose weight fast and most of the time starve yourself. When you starve yourself, your metabolism slows down. You may lose a lot of weight but when you are done with the crash diet, you will defiantly gain pounds back.
  • Go on a Healthy Diet! Make sure to have a well balance diet where you eat fibers, lean protien and low carbs. Instead of having 3 large meals, have small meals within the day. You can find lots of healthy diet plans online.
  • Cardio and Light Weights! Cardio exercises are important to do when buring fats. Lifting weights are important to so when toning muscles. Cardio exercises include, running, long walks, dancing (zumba or vixon), and jump rope. You can also hire a professional who will guide you and help you along the way.
  • Skip out on the Sugary Drink and Alcohol! Yes I said it, alcohol. That means no juices, no candy, no ice cream, no cookies, no “health food bars”, no Light and Fit yogurts, no nightly margaritas, no café mocha frappachinos. Packed with sugar and loaded with empty calories, these “treats” are keeping you fat, addicted to sugar, and providing no nutritional value. They’ve got to go!

So as you wedding day approaches, skip the crash diet and get healthy and lean. In the long run, you will be able to stay healthy and lean forever ,rather than having a short term amount of weight lost.
